Dan-O’s Seasoning Supports Tornado Relief Fundraiser
On February, 18th there will be a tornado relief benefit concert presented by 91.9 WFPK. All proceeds from the event will go directly towards Ms. Pam Dupee. Ms. Pam is a 73-year-old widow from Mayfield, KY whose home was destroyed from the Kentucky tornados on the night of December 10th and 11th. Dan-O’s Seasoning is supporting the event by making a donation to the silent auction which will occur during the show.
About the Event
The show will be at PORTAL at the FifteenTWELEVE Creative Compound here in our home city of Louisville, KY. This story hits close to home and we are happy to support it. We would like to encourage anyone in the area to attend to help in this great cause.
Some of the performers include Hot Brown Smack Down, Scott T. Smith, Brooks Ritter, Dusty Bo, and Cameron Haines (of Normac). Tickets are available on Eventbrite and are only $10-15 and all proceeds from the ticket sales and the auction go directly towards helping Ms. Pam.
Ms. Pam’s Story
According to the GoFundMe fundraiser organizer, Charli Langston, she was living in an apartment complex when the storms hit. Her apartment was one of the last remaining intact units when things started to get worse. Ms. Pam then took in as many people as she could to keep others safe until the storms ended.
She had to remain in her apartment for two weeks without electricity or running water with her two dogs. Luckily, Charlie Rocket’s Dream Machine Foundation stepped in and gave her $20,000 to assist in buying her a home of her own. She was able to dedicate that money towards a down payment on a new house.
Unfortunately, the home she purchased had some unforeseen damage and is not safe for her to live in. Langston and Ms. Pam received an estimate of $25,000 just to make repairs to her new home. This fundraiser will help allow her to make those repairs and give her the home that she deserves.
