Dan-O’s Provides Seasoning for Air Force Unit’s Deployment

In early September, the team at Dan-O’s Seasoning received a message from a TSgt Carl Metcalf from the US Air Force. The folks at Dan-O’s aren’t strangers to donation and sponsorship requests, but TSgt Metcalf seemed to have a very real-world problem that Dan-O’s could help solve – the lack of flavor in the food his troops would be eating during their upcoming deployment.

As most people know, our friends and family deployed around the world do not always receive the best food. With simple mess hall meals and MRE’s being the norm, many meals can be lacking in what Dan-O’s Seasoning specializes in – real flavor.

TSgt Metcalf’s request was simple, for Dan-O’s to send any amount of seasoning they could to help improve the unit’s notoriously non-great food during their upcoming deployment.

The Dan-O’s team was able to send four cases of each flavor variant for the roughly 40 troops. This amount equaled a personal bottle of each flavor for everyone, as well as several additional bottles for mess hall meals or larger cooking sessions.

The cases of Dan-O’s were shipped to an Air Force base in SC, where they eventually made it onto a supply pallet headed towards the troop’s destination.

When asked how TSgt Metcalf had found out about Dan-O’s, he discussed how he learned about the seasoning on Tik Tok, then soon after purchased it and became hooked. Nearing deployment, he decided Dan-O’s would be a great companion for the remaining members of his troop as well. “We are all excited; they don’t believe how good it is,” mentioned Metcalf.

When Metcalf gets the time, he mentioned how he’d like to make some Tik Toks of his own spicing up an MRE to show how he uses Dan-O’s. As of now, TSgt Metcalf and his unit are using their seasoning to spice up their daily meals.

The team at Dan-O’s appreciates TGgt Metcalf’s request for flavor via its seasoning and hopes it’s making life across seas feel a little closer to home. Everyone on the Dan-O’s team wishes the unit safety during their deployment and a safe return back!
