Ingredients

  • 1 packet Dan-O’s Tac-O Seasoning Packet- Mild or Spicy
  • 1 tsp Dan-O’s Dips Mexi-Ranch
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ finely diced onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green chiles (canned, drained)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup salsa
  • ½ cup Mexican crema
  • 1 cup Mexican cheese blend

Preparation Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, diced onion, diced green chiles, Dan-O's Tac-O Seasoning Packet, egg, shredded cheese, and breadcrumbs.
  3. Mix everything together gently with your hands until just combined. Don't overmix—you want juicy, tender meatballs, not tough ones!
  4. Roll the mixture into 12–15 golf ball-sized meatballs and arrange them evenly on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
  5. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the meatballs are browned and reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. While the meatballs bake, make the dipping sauce by stirring together the salsa, Mexican crema, and 1 teaspoon Dan-O's Dips Mexi-Ranch until smooth and creamy.
  7. Transfer the warm meatballs to a serving platter and serve with the Mexi-Ranch dipping sauce on the side. Garnish with chopped cilantro or sliced green onions if you'd like. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!®
