Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Dan-O’s Cheesoning
- 3⁄4 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cups Italian cheese blend, divided
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 package puff pastry
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 24 pieces thick sliced pepperoni, or 48 thin sliced pepperoni
Preparation Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 400°F and spraying a 12-cup muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the Italian cheese blend, the egg, and the Dan-O's Cheesoning. Mix until everything is smooth and creamy.
- Cut out circles of puff pastry using a cup. Place one pastry circle into each muffin cup, gently pressing it down to form a little shell.
- In each cup, add 1 pepperoni slice, about 1 tsp of the ricotta mixture, followed by 1 tsp of marinara sauce, then another slice of pepperoni. Add another tsp of the ricotta mixture, another tsp of marinara, and finish with a sprinkle of the cheeses.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown around the edges and the cheese is melted, bubbly, and irresistible.
- Let them cool for a few minutes before serving, and Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!®
