Taco night just got an upgrade! These Lemon Pepper Tuna Tacos are bringin’ that fresh, zesty flavor with perfectly seared tuna and a crunchy, saucy slaw that hits all the right notes. It’s light, it’s bold, and it comes together fast. One bite in and you already know… that’s Dantastic!
Ingredients
Dan-O’s Lemon Pepper Seasoning
1 tuna steak
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 cups shredded cabbage mix (purple cabbage and carrots)
mini tortillas
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp sesame oil
Preparation Instructions
In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, fresh ginger, juice of ½ lemon, sesame oil, and 1 tsp Dan-O’s Lemon Pepper Seasoning. Give it a good stir and let it sit for about 30 minutes so all those flavors can mingle, then toss your slaw with some of that sauce. This is gonna be your crunchy, tangy taco topper—don’t skip it!
Preheat a large flat-bottom pan over medium-high heat and add a little oil. You want it hot and ready.
Pour some Dan-O’s Lemon Pepper Seasoning onto a plate. Pat your tuna steaks dry with a paper towel (this helps get that perfect sear), then press ’em into the seasoning—coat every side, even the edges. We don’t do bland around here.
Drop those seasoned beauties into the hot pan. Let ’em cook for about 1–3 minutes, then flip and cook another minute. That’ll give you a rare to medium-rare center—tender, juicy, and absolutely Dantastic.
Slice it up, load it into your tortillas, pile on that saucy slaw, and Yum Get Ya Sum!®
