Korean BBQ Filet Mignon and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Korean BBQ Filet Mignon and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Flavors Used:

We’re taking beef and broccoli up a notch with thin-sliced filet mignon and a sweet, savory, garlicky stir-fry sauce. Gochujang, soy sauce, mirin, rice wine vinegar, and sesame oil build the base, while Dan-O’s Outlaw Korean Pop BBQ brings Korean-inspired BBQ flavor and a pop of sweetness to balance everything out. Toss it all together with tender broccoli and serve it over sticky white rice for one Dan-Good meal!

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Dan-O’s Outlaw Korean Pop BBQ'
  • 8 oz filet mignon, thinly sliced
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 tbsp high-heat cooking oil
  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 1 cup cooked sticky white rice

Preparation Instructions

  1. Slice the Filet Mignon: Thinly slice the filet mignon into small, even pieces. For easier, more consistent slices, briefly chill the filet in the freezer to help firm up the meat before cutting.
  2. Prepare the Broccoli: Cut the broccoli into florets and set aside while you prepare the stir-fry sauce.
  3. Make the Korean Pop Stir-Fry Sauce: Add the gochujang, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, mirin, sesame oil, and Dan-O’s Outlaw Korean Pop BBQ to a bowl. Stir until thoroughly combined, then set the sauce aside.
  4. Heat the Pan: Heat a large wok-style pan over high heat. Add the high-heat cooking oil and allow the pan to get hot before adding the remaining ingredients.
  5. Cook the Garlic and Broccoli: Add the chopped garlic to the hot pan and cook for about 20 seconds. Add the broccoli and some of the prepared sauce, then toss until the broccoli is coated. Add the water and cook for about 1½ minutes, until the broccoli begins to soften. Continue cooking for about 1 additional minute.
  6. Add the Filet Mignon: Arrange the thinly sliced filet mignon around the sides of the pan, then add the remaining sauce. Toss the filet mignon and broccoli together and cook for approximately 4 minutes, until the beef is cooked and everything is evenly coated in the sauce.
  7. Prepare the Green Onion: While the filet mignon and broccoli finish cooking, slice the green onion and set it aside for serving.
  8. Serve: Spoon the sticky white rice onto plates or bowls and top with the filet mignon and broccoli stir-fry. Finish with the sliced green onion, and Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
