Fried Cajun Corn

Fried Cajun Corn

Flavors Used:

Dan-O’s Cajun Seasoning brings the flavor together with a bold, herby, smoky, and slightly tangy kick. The bacon adds rich, salty flavor, the jalapeño brings a little heat, and the frozen corn soaks it all up as it cooks in the bacon grease. Simple ingredients, big flavor, and Dan-Good in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Dan-O’s Cajun Seasoning
  • 1/2 lb bacon, chopped
  • 1 fresh jalapeño, diced
  • 12 oz frozen corn

Preparation Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon: Heat a large skillet over the low side of medium-high heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until it is about halfway done and has started to release its grease.
  2. Add the Jalapeño: Add the diced jalapeño to the skillet with the bacon. Stir and cook for about 1 minute, or until the jalapeño starts to soften.
  3. Add the Corn: Add the frozen corn to the skillet and stir everything together so the corn mixes into the bacon, jalapeño, and bacon grease.
  4. Season the Corn: Sprinkle in the Dan-O’s Cajun Seasoning and stir until the corn is evenly coated. Let the seasoning hydrate in the bacon grease while everything cooks together.
  5. Finish and Serve: Continue cooking until the corn is heated through and the mixture looks fully combined. Transfer to a serving bowl and Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
