These are not your average canned green beans, my friends. This influencer-inspired recipe takes simple drained green beans and turns them into buttery, sweet, savory, bacon-topped goodness the Dan-O’s way. Dan-O’s Outlaw Sweet & Tangy BBQ brings that brown-sugar-style sweetness, tangy barbecue flavor, and bold seasoning all in one shake. Bake it up until the bacon gets crispy and the green beans soak up all that Dan-Good flavor.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Dan-O’s Outlaw Sweet & Tangy BBQ
- 4 cans green beans, drained
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- 1 heaping tbsp jarred minced garlic
- 6 strips bacon
Preparation Instructions
- Prep the Green Beans: Preheat the oven to 450°F. Add the drained green beans to a baking dish and spread them out evenly.
- Make the Butter Mixture: Melt the butter, then stir in Dan-O’s Outlaw Sweet & Tangy BBQ and the jarred minced garlic. Mix everything together until well combined.
- Pour Over the Green Beans: Pour about two-thirds of the butter mixture evenly over the green beans. Save the remaining butter mixture to pour over the top after adding the bacon.
- Add the Bacon: Lay the bacon strips across the top of the green beans. Pour the remaining butter mixture over the bacon and green beans.
- Bake the Green Beans: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 35 to 45 minutes. Check the green beans around the 30-minute mark, and if the bacon is not crispy yet, return the dish to the oven for another 10 to 15 minutes.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the green beans from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Scoop the green beans with a piece of bacon and Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
