This ain’t your average Derby cocktail—this is the Dan-O’s Lily! We’re mixin’ up smooth vodka, tart cranberry, a splash of citrus, and then hittin’ it with that one-of-a-kind Dan-O's Lemon Pepper syrup. Yeah, you heard that right. It’s sweet, zesty, and just a little savory for a flavor combo that’s totally unexpected. Shake it up, take a sip… that’s Dantastic!
To make it a mocktail, replace the vodka with some tonic and the triple sec with orange juice.
Ingredients
For the simple syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp Dan-O’s Lemon Pepper Seasoning
- 1 oz fresh Lemon Juice
For the Cocktail
- 1 ½ oz Vodka
- 3 oz Cranberry juice
- ½ oz Orange liqueur (Triple Sec)
- ½ oz Simple syrup - custom-made Dan-O's Lemon Pepper syrup
- Garnish: Blackberries and a lemon wedge/wheel
Preparation Instructions
- First, we’re makin’ that signature syrup. Add equal parts water and sugar to a saucepan and heat it up until everything dissolves and it’s nice and clear. Pull it off the heat, then stir in that Dan-O’s Lemon Pepper and fresh lemon juice. Let it cool down, then strain it well—now you’ve got that Dan-O-Myte syrup ready to go.
- Grab a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Pour in your vodka, cranberry juice, orange liqueur, and about half an ounce of that lemon pepper simple syrup.
- Shake it up real good until it’s nice and chilled.
- Strain it into a stemless wine glass or a highball glass over fresh ice.
- Finish it off with some blackberries and a lemon wedge or twist for that fresh pop.
