Bourbon Party Ribs and Chicken Breast

Bourbon Party Ribs and Chicken Breast

If you’re firing up the grill for a cookout, this one gives you the best of both worlds! Juicy chicken breasts and individual ribs get generously coated with Pappy Dan Sprinkles Smoky Barrel BBQ, then chilled so the natural moisture from the meat can rehydrate the seasoning and create a flavorful, glaze-like coating. Made with real smoke from 15-year Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels, Pappy Dan Sprinkles brings deep smoky BBQ flavor, subtle sweetness, and charred-oak character that works Dan-Good with both chicken and ribs.

Ingredients

  • 8 tbsp Pappy Dan Sprinkles Smoky Barrel BBQ, divided
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 slab pork ribs, about 2–2½ lbs, cut into approximately 12 individual ribs

Preparation Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Coat each chicken breast evenly with 2 tbsp Pappy Dan Sprinkles Smoky Barrel BBQ, making sure the seasoning covers the surface well.
  2. Chill the Chicken: Place the seasoned chicken in the refrigerator for about 45 minutes. As the chicken rests, its natural moisture helps rehydrate the seasoning and create a glaze-like coating.
  3. Grill the Chicken: Preheat the grill to medium heat. Grill the chicken for about 30 minutes, flipping every 5 minutes to promote even cooking and help prevent the seasoning from burning.
  4. Season the Ribs: Cut the slab into individual ribs, if needed. Coat the ribs evenly with the remaining 4 tbsp Pappy Dan Sprinkles Smoky Barrel BBQ.
  5. Chill the Ribs: Refrigerate the seasoned ribs for 45 minutes to 1 hour, allowing the natural moisture from the meat to rehydrate the seasoning and help it cling to the ribs.
  6. Grill the Ribs: Place the individual ribs on the grill and cook for about 30 minutes, turning periodically for even cooking and to help prevent burning.
  7. Rest the Ribs: Remove the ribs from the grill, cover with aluminum foil, and let rest for about 20 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve: Serve the Bourbon Party Ribs and Chicken Breast hot for a smoky, Kentucky-inspired cookout spread. Yum Yum Get Ya Sum!
